The first posts date from January 2006 and it all started at the suggestion of Maria Luisa Rios, author of Mil Sabores, the day we met in Caracas. He talked about blogs and I was interested immediately. To my supposed return to the habit of writing, a hobby that I practice from a very young and that allowed me to work with various media in my country of birth since the early 90's and until the residence moved to Latin America. time ago I decided to delete many entries so this really such a significant number would have been reached months ago. Mainly I deleted all those who had lapsed because it contained news of interest at the time but eventually made no sense to keep on file. It can therefore say that these 1,000 first posts are a selection of what is in my view a profile of reading with an abiding interest.
The audience measurement
In this blog there has been no audience measurement for a long time. I had no idea the number of people or the consumption of content of interest because he had no intention to paid advertising. Later introduced a free software for these purposes but it was very incomplete and abandoned. Recent offerings included a recommended but in reality it was a trap because, instead advertisements began to appear as uncomfortable and unwanted pop-up. Also eliminated. Top 10 in the rankings account for 83% of total visitors in this order are: Spain (22.9%), Venezuela (16.2%), Panama (11.8%), Mexico (10.4%), Colombia (4.9% ), United States (4.9%), Chile, Argentina, Peru and, most curious, Norway in tenth place !!!!!

The most read posts
Since May of 2010 that are activated Blogspot statistics, the most read post is tasting fries, a small humorous post February 2009 which is obviously not considered important. The second read if that gives me hope and is dedicated to the opening of High Restaurant Chef Carlos Garcia Caracas. The third deals with the Ron Zacapa in Guatemala in another article written in Caracas, a rum that is now my competition in the premium segment of rums in Panama, which no longer an incentive.

The fourth is based on the description of the Christmas tradition of Catalunya in the form of the trunk that shit gifts for children, "shit man." Among the top 10 most read me happy to learn that there is one dedicated to my friends Tatiana Mora and Enrique Limardo, chefs and restaurant owners Yantar in Caracas. Participation
One of the factors that have always been very present and I appreciated the active participation of the readers of this blog via comments. in general have been an encouragement to continue this constant activity of writing for the sake of the cause.

until today I have collected and published 2,218 comments home known and based on providing guidance and give an opinion, criticism or not. At first opened the system under the unrestricted participation but inevitable the emergence of spam and people in a spirit of insult or provocation had no choice but to control the content of others.

The future of the blog
The more or less regular occurrence of new post depends largely on the intensity of professional commitments, but also has got competition blog very interesting as to express thoughts in writing so much more agile and direct as Facebook or Twitter. In the past 2 years has greatly lowered my contribution rate in this medium because these two new centralized means a mode of communication very much associated with the everyday and immediate.
